Diane Martin, Pastor

Rev. Diane Martin (aka Pastor Diane) grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and, as the saying goes, she got to Colorado as soon as she could. In her first marriage, she raised two daughters, Tanna and Stacey, and helped raise her stepson Scott. Then she met and married Nathan Martin, with whom she recently celebrated their 20-year-wedding anniversary. Nathan has a daughter, Lizz, and a stepson, Erik, and so their blended family grew. All told, they have nine grandchildren, scattered from Fresno to Colorado Springs to Divide; and two cats, Luke and Leia. She keeps in shape with pole fitness, the newest workout trend worldwide, and opened Pole Revolution five years ago.

Diane has worshiped in a variety of faith settings, all of which have contributed to her spirituality. She holds undergraduate degrees in journalism and business, and earned her Master of Divinity degree from Iliff School of Theology in 2003.  Diane was ordained in the United Church of Christ in 2004 and is currently working toward dual standing ordination with the Metropolitan Community Churches. She served Trinity UCC in La Crosse, Wisconsin; founded Unchurch in Colorado Springs; served Pikes Peak Metropolitan Community Church and Black Forest Community Church; and served as a chaplain for both Centura Health (Penrose) and UC-Health (Memorial) in Colorado Springs.

Pastor Diane was called to serve as pastor of The Church in the Wildwood on October 9, 2016, and began her ministry with us two weeks later. She said serving our church feels like coming home, and she is excited about ministering with our community.
